Karolina Aastrup is a curator working across contemporary art, technology and ecology, with a particular interest in situated practice and immersive and digital forms. Her research-led curatorial work explores how art responds to specific sites, histories and institutional contexts, and how technological and material conditions shape both artistic production and audience experience.
She is currently Curator of Contemporary Art at Sörmlands museum. Recent projects include Earthly Bodies Born of Love, Avesta Art 2026, co-curated with Sona Stepanyan, and The Great Noise, the second edition of Triennalen Västernorrland (2025), where she served as Co-Artistic Director with Helena Byström.
